Cup Final - Update
The Dockers long awaited East Anglian Cup final is scheduled to take place at Chadfields on Thursday 25th February against Halstead Town Football Club - kick off at 7:45pm.
The delay of the final was caused by a fixture backlog last season with Halstead Town themselves only playing their semi final in January 2010, when they beat Brantham FC 2-1 to secure their place in the Final.
The Dockers path to the final started back in February 2009 when Tilbury beat Essex Senior League side Burnham Ramblers. The Dockers winning 2-1 goals from Rashid Kamara and Manlee Brown.
The next game was an entertaining match against a young Hullbridge sports side. The Dockers won by a single goal to Nil, Lee Newton scored for Tilbury to see them through to the Semi Final.
The Semi Final was back in May 2009 against Royston Town of The Molten Spartan South Midlands Football League Division 1, at the time Royston were unbeaten prior to their visit to Chadfields. The Dockers took an early lead then settled the tie with another in the second period - Manlee Brown the scorer of both goals.
It is hoped that the good people of Tilbury will come along to support the Dockers in their attempt to win more Silverware for the Club.
Admission prices are £8.00 for Adults, £4.00 for OAP'S and £2.00 for Children.
